Beyond the Clinic - A Journey to Wellness

In a quiet part of Wakiso town Council, Gombe, a new healthcare chapter is unfolding. Born out of the heartbreaking loss of two precious children, Destiny Medical Centre isestablished to provide the much-needed medical services to the children of Kampala Children’s Centre and the surrounding community. More than just a hospital, it’s a step toward closing the healthcare gaps that many families in our community face every day

For years, families were struggling with limited access to good medical care, often having to travel far for treatment. The same was true for the children at Kampala Children’s Centre, where it became clear that quality healthcare should be available right here, close to home.


Destiny Medical Centre was created with this need in mind. Our goal is simple, to offer reliable, high-quality healthcare to the children we care for and to the community families. This center isn’t just about treating sickness, it’s about building a healthier community.

We focus on preventive care, encouraging people to think about regular checkups and wellness programs, rather than just waiting for an emergency. Our outreach efforts will educate families about important health topics and long-term health habits that can improve their lives. This is about more than just treatment— it’s about empowering people to take control of their health.

 Destiny Medical Centre in Sight!

The journey of Destiny Medical Centre is deeply rooted in the inception of Kampala Children's Centre. However, it was a heartbreaking experience that accelerated its vision: two precious children from the centre were misdiagnosed by local public hospitals, leading to their tragic deaths. These avoidable tragedies sparked a vision that Arnold Muwonge had held dear since founding KCC - to create a medical facility providing reliable, quality, and affordable healthcare for those who need it most.

 

After much prayer, extensive discussions, and consultations with construction, medical experts, and friends, the vision took shape, and construction began. For over 17 years, dedicated individuals have worked tirelessly to turn this vision into a reality. We are thrilled to share that we are now ready to open our doors! We anticipate welcoming our first patients in the next few months.

 

We have a dedicated team of experts who ensure that we will offer high-quality, expert care, meeting diverse needs in innovative and compassionate ways. We know that Destiny Medical Centre's impact will be transformative for many families in the years to come. It's a privilege to be part of a story of hope and thriving in our community.
